Moving pictures fascinate me

This young man is an amazing senior at Green Valley HS. I am working on his photo shoot and wanted to play with a series of him playing guitar. So within an hour I taught myself how to take 15 photos and turn them into this. I think I could get into adding this type of photography into my passion for fun and interesting slices of life.

Decorating the Outdoors!

I built my first table today. It might have a leg that looks a bit off, but it was all made from salvaged wood, screws, and left over paint! I love it and it makes a great place to have my morning coffee as the weather starts to cool off. We are a big giggle family and love to find ways to laugh, so the words on the blocks sum up a lot of what goes on inside our home. I am truly blessed! Happy Harvest everyone!

Welcome Finlee

Today our family grew! My niece gave birth to her first child, Finlee. I am now a Great Aunt.

They are the Best!

Twins can be amazingly similar and then absolutely opposite. The connection between these two blows me away, as do their differences. We have tried to raise them to be individuals instead a package, but they still want to do as much as a pair as they can. I love that these photos show how very different they are. Toby is all boy. He farts, teases and loves to get into trouble. Samuel has a very feminine side. He chooses scarves over hats, dolls over guns and is growing his hair long. My favorite thing about both of them, they know who they are. They accept each other without question, and they defend anyone who wants to be themselves instead of what others think they should be. Their empathy for others blows me away and I truly hope they continue to make the choices of being a true friend to others throughout their lives.

So I really took this photo on Sunday, shhh, but he lost the tooth in the middle of the night. My favorite thing about this photo was I asked him to show me his teeth, or lack of, and when he smiled he squinted. I said ok, show me teeth and give me big eyes! Tada BIG EYES and a toothless grin! Perfect!
