Christmas Quiz
I found this on a blog and think it's fun. Lets do it together!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping Paper! I like to wrap gifts and I love ribbons and bows. I don't get to put as much into them as I did pre-kids but paper ripping means gift opening to me! (Oh and I hate keeping wrapping paper all year long).
2. Real tree or Artificial?
Artificial x 3! I love the smell of real, but in the desert they dry out in a week. We have 3 trees because one year we were going to go treeless and my mom and my mother-in-law didn't like that. 2 trees showed up at our house! The 3rd tree is a small one for the kids that I have taken over since my kids trains took over a big tree.
3. When do you put up the tree?
Usually the week after Thanksgiving
4. When do you take the tree down?
It depends on what we have going on, but usually within a week or two of Christmas.
5. Do you like eggnog?
Loved it as a kid, now it just makes me gag!
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
Microscope with dozens of pre-made slides and specimens to dissect and view.
7. Favorite gift received as an adult?
My dragonfly necklace.
8. Easiest person to buy for? My kids, they are so honest about what they want.
9. Do You have a nativity scene? A few. One my dad bought me when I moved out and then a little kid one made from plastic and a little kid one made of stuffies.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, email seems cheesy! We actually do a newsletter that is sadly overdue! I add a letter to it for Christmas.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
I can't really think of anything, I love gifts even weird or odd ones, I can always find a way to use it or turn it into something else.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. My friends and I send each other text messages quoting the movie almost everyday of the season, and my husband and I quote it throughout the year!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually about summer I start thinking of it.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? My mom's fudge and I really miss my Grandma Hatch's chocolate chip cookies!
16. Lights on the tree? Who doesn't put lights on their tree? Of course. I prefer white, but some color is nice too.
17. Favorite Christmas song? Barenaked Ladies version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
18. Travel for Christmas or stay home? I love to travel, and have enjoyed every Christmas away from home.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers? Of course.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? 2 Stars and 1 Snowman.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open gifts over 3 days since we have 3 family gatherings. I love how spread out it makes the celebrating!
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Not enough time to do all the creative things I want to do!
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Lately -Trains! Usually - natural and simple.
24. Favorite Christmas dinner? As long as dessert is involved it doesn't matter!
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? It sounds lame, but I just want my kids to have an awesome Christmas. I want to see there smiles and hear their excitement. I want happiness, and I have it.
